THE COMPANY
Catharsis Productions reduces interpersonal violence by producing artistically innovative and research supported programming that challenges oppressive attitudes, transforms behavior, and inspires communities to create a world without violence. Our flagship program, Sex Signals, is a two-person show that utilizes improvisation, scripted material, and audience discussion to educate college students and military personnel about sexual assault. The program is performed by a rotating cast of Actors/Educators and has been seen by over 1.2 million people around the world in the last several years. The Positions
Catharsis Productions is looking to add more people to our team. We currently have Full-Time, Female and Male positions available. Our Full-Time positions include national travel and are paid a salary with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision,401 k and Term life insurance options. Catharsis covers all travel costs, including air travel, auto rental, lodging, and per diems when performing away from Chicagoland.
Education and/or Experience:
* Experience in a training and facilitating capacity, preferred two (2) years
*Preferred four (4) year college degree, or equivalent experience in a related function
* Must hold a valid State’s Driver License
* Background in sexual violence prevention, military, or social justice is strongly preferred
* Demonstrated sensitivity, knowledge and understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic, gender, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of the customers we serve; sensitivity and knowledge and understanding of groups historically oppressed and who may have experienced discrimination
Bonus: Theater experience
Knowledge and Skills:
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* A high attention to detail and very organized
* A high degree of customer service
* Ability to learn and excel at improvisational skills
* Ability to manage and facilitate large groups
* Display high level of energy and thrive in a fast paced environment
* Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team
* Ability to plan and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Eligible for military clearance.
