For sixteen years Catharsis Productions has been creating and delivering unique and pretty awesome live sexual violence prevention trainings to college and military audiences. By “fighting fire with funny,” we strategically use humor (yes, even for educational purposes) and audience interaction to break down defensiveness and challenge misconceptions about sexual violence.

We are seeking a part-time Marketing Intern. The Marketing Intern will assist the marketing department. The Marketing Intern will help create creative and research based content that’s in line with the company’s communication strategy, mission, and values.

HERE’S THE SKINNY:

Reporting directly to the Creative Marketing Manager, the Marketing Intern would be expected to:

· Assist with social media channels management including monitoring, research, writing copy, designing creative, and scheduling posts

· Assist with the design and creation of promotional material

· Do research of trending news and other topics

· Assist with phone coverage when needed

· Write occasional blogs for Catharsis Productions website

· Assists with promotional swag management

· Active with student outreach during orientation season

· Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:                                           

Currently enrolled or recently graduated from college.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Works well under time constraints and has the ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency using Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Experience with social media management tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite preferred.

Timeline and hours:

  • Duration of internship is 3 – 6 months based on need and performance
  • Weekly hours: 10-14
